About The Position

84 Lumber is seeking motivated and hardworking Truss Builders/Production Associates to assemble building material components, including wood trusses used in residential and commercial construction. The role is suited to people who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment and are committed to quality craftsmanship. Comprehensive training is provided. The position offers opportunities to develop and advance in production, production leadership, sales, and design. Monthly incentive opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Able to read and write in their primary language.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to read or learn to read a set-up sheet.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or truss manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand set-up sheets.
• Position plates properly.
• Operate gantry.
• Verify lumber accuracy against sheets.
• Verify that truss set-up is accurate.
• Perform daily operator maintenance.
• Maintain 100% crew efficiency.
• Mark individual trusses when required.
• Train Builder Associates.
