About The Position
The primary function of this role is to provide an educational program that meets the educational needs of each student in the teacher’s area of responsibility. The teacher will be directly responsible to the principal or other designated administrator. This position involves providing instruction consistent with district and school expectations, communicating effectively with students, parents, administrators, and staff, and employing sound management practices for planning, record keeping, resource management, and learning environment management. The teacher will also ensure student safety through proper supervision and assume professional responsibilities that foster personal and professional growth. The role includes implementing district goals and objectives and performing other duties as assigned consistent with the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District/Livermore Education Association contract.
Requirements
- Single Subject: Social Science Credential Required
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction consistent with district and school expectations and which meets the educational needs of all students assigned to the teacher.
- Communicate with students, parents, administrators and other staff members in a manner which is consistent with district and school expectations.
- Employ planning, record keeping, resource management, and learning environment management practices which are consistent with district and school expectations, and which maximize the teacher’s effectiveness.
- Provide for student supervision, which ensures student safety consistent with district and school expectations.
- Assume professional responsibilities in a manner, which meets district and school expectations and ensures continued personal and professional growth.
- Implement district goals and objectives for certificated teacher as modified in the individual’s planning conference.
- Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District/Livermore Education Association contract.
