About The Position

The primary function of this role is to provide an educational program that meets the educational needs of each student in the teacher’s area of responsibility. The teacher will be directly responsible to the principal or other designated administrator.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction consistent with district and school expectations that meets the educational needs of all students assigned.
• Communicate with students, parents, administrators, and other staff members in a manner consistent with district and school expectations.
• Employ planning, record keeping, resource management, and learning environment management practices that are consistent with district and school expectations and maximize teacher effectiveness.
• Provide student supervision that ensures student safety consistent with district and school expectations.
• Assume professional responsibilities in a manner that meets district and school expectations and ensures continued personal and professional growth.
• Implement district goals and objectives for certificated teachers as modified in the individual’s planning conference.
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District/Livermore Education Association contract.
