About The Position

Seeking a Christ-centered experienced Music Director that will inspire, guide, teach, and shape the lives of our students while directing productions at Denver Christian School. Most importantly, he/she will help bring students closer to God while helping them become stronger performers, allowing Christ to shine through them. The Performing Arts vision at Denver Christian School is to inspire students to achieve their God-given potential in the performing arts through excellent performances and classes in a professional and Christ-honoring environment. This role is seasonal and part-time, primarily after school hours. Performing Arts is one of the many means of discipleship DC uses to bring students to a deeper relationship with Christ. Participating in a show provides opportunities for students to grow in their walk with Christ by experiencing struggles, failure, success, and relationships through a Biblical framework. Directors are the primary guide throughout this process. At all times, directors should represent Christ, the school, and themselves in a way that honors God. Directors are called to teach their students to do the same. In addition to discipleship, coaches must demonstrate excellence in their field and a growth mindset to be ever improving. Employee should have a clear profession of their faith in Christ and a discipling attitude. Employee must have demonstrated knowledge of their role either as a director, music director, assistant director, choreographer or other role they may be hired as.
