About The Position

Crescent Academy is hiring a full-time 4th Grade Elementary Teacher. The teacher will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment and support students’ development and enthusiasm for learning. Crescent Academy serves more than 500 students in grades PreK–12 and emphasizes a whole-child approach, fostering a college-bound culture focused on strong character, academic achievement, and civic engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certification or license with an endorsement in the grade level.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on curriculum standards and responsive to diverse learning styles.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance using methods such as tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and events in support of the institution’s mission.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
