This position will serve as an Afterschool Program Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County in support of the 4-H Afterschool Program. The role provides comprehensive 4-H youth development opportunities for youth in grades K-12 within assigned school districts. The educator will provide guidance for program participants and after-school activities, including club and life skills, and assist collaborating teachers during the academic study portion of the program. Instruction will utilize established 4-H curriculum in environmental science, natural resources, science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). The position involves using existing program resources, assisting in the creation of lesson plans, employing various delivery methods, and helping to deliver innovative educational programs. Additionally, the educator may provide staffing or programming coverage for other Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County Afterschool Programs as needed.
