About The Position

This is a hands-on Leadership production operation role. Meeting USDA, HACCP, GMFP, and Company standards and under the supervision of the Operation Manager for Load & Haul, assists with overseeing the leadership and management of the processes and associates to meet the needs and expectations of customers, department and organization. Making sure that all equipment is 100% in condition to operate properly and that the line starts on time. Assisting, interviewing and training new associates, conducting meetings with associates on changes and other jobs related issues. Making sure that associates are informed and follow the rules, policies and procedures for USDA, OSHA and MIOSHA. Teaching associates the importance of working safe and in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Must wear necessary Personal Protective Wear: Protective Eye Wear, Ear plugs, Hard Hat, Hair Net, Protective Coat (clothing protector), Forearm protection, Plastics gloves, Cotton gloves, Plastic aprons
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the role.
  • Using hands and fingers, must be able to demonstrate to the associates the functions of each job in the white meat area.
  • Must be able to obtain a Hi-lo driver license.
  • Must be able to use knives (wizard and reg.) on the line.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours or the duration of the shift, in a wet cold environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish speaking ability is a definite plus
