About The Position

This is a hands-on Leadership production operation role. The supervisor, under the direction of the Operation Manager for Load & Haul, assists with overseeing the leadership and management of processes and associates to meet customer, department, and organizational expectations. This includes ensuring all equipment is in 100% operating condition and that the line starts on time. The role involves assisting with interviewing and training new associates, conducting meetings on changes and job-related issues, and ensuring associates follow USDA, OSHA, and MIOSHA rules, policies, and procedures. A key aspect is teaching associates the importance of working safely and in a team environment.

Requirements

  • 0-1 years of experience in this position
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate others, initiate change, and perform with integrity
  • Ability to problem-solve and assist with resolution
  • Ability to work with little to no daily supervision
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to implement all rules and procedures established by the HACCP program
  • Ability to work very closely with U.S.D.A.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language

  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance
  • Ability to maintain good records of all production
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the role.
  • Must be able to obtain a Hi-lo driver license.
  • Must be able to use knives (wizard and reg.) on the line.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours or the duration of the shift, in a wet cold environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
