About The Position

This is a hands-on Leadership production operation role. The supervisor, under the direction of the Operation Manager for Load & Haul, assists with overseeing the leadership and management of processes and associates to meet customer, department, and organizational expectations. This includes ensuring all equipment is in 100% operating condition and that the line starts on time. The role involves assisting with interviewing and training new associates, conducting meetings on changes and job-related issues, and ensuring associates follow USDA, OSHA, and MIOSHA rules, policies, and procedures. A key aspect is teaching associates the importance of working safely and in a team environment.

Requirements

0-1 years of experience in this position
Proven leadership skills
Ability to motivate others, initiate change, and perform with integrity
Ability to problem-solve and assist with resolution
Ability to work with little to no daily supervision
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to implement all rules and procedures established by the HACCP program
Ability to work very closely with U.S.D.A.
Attention to detail
Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
Ability to work safely
Ability to maintain excellent attendance
Ability to maintain good records of all production
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the role.
Must be able to obtain a Hi-lo driver license.
Must be able to use knives (wizard and reg.) on the line.
Must be able to twist, bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours or the duration of the shift, in a wet cold environment.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
