About The Position

Provide administrative support for 3PL operations departments.

Requirements

• Ability to acquire TSA certification (required depending on location).
• Ability to be courteous; ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with both customers and associates.
• Effective time management skills.
• Self-starter/self-motivated; ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up.
• High school diploma or GED; mechanical training desirable.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year applicable experience or the equivalent experience and education.
• Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to learn new systems and programs.
• Sitting, up to three (3) hours per day; standing and/or walking eight (8) hours or more per day.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach and move about the facility.
• Appropriate safety gear must be worn as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift experience desirable depending on location/department.

Responsibilities

• Processes customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
• Records amounts of materials and/or items received / distributed via appropriate computer program.
• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times; coordinates with appropriate department personnel for order requests.
• Responsible for making arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase request.
• Provides various client-specific or various departmental process requirements, such as inspections, cycle counts, warehouse management system updates / configurations, etc.
• Any additional task or activity as requested or assigned by management.
