This role is centered around turning geometry into decisions. The technician will perform dimensional analysis and tooling wear studies using a Romer Absolute Arm with Integrated Laser Scanner and PolyWorks. They will compare scan data to CAD, identify wear patterns, drift, and risk before it becomes scrap, and generate clear, actionable dimensional reports. The role also involves supporting and running CMM inspections using MCOSMOS when needed. Additionally, the technician will manage the Gage Calibration & Control Program using GAGEtrak, including calibration scheduling and tracking, and gage acquisition & repair coordination. They will support MSA activities (bias, linearity, GR&R, etc.), maintain and use precision measuring tools daily (micrometers, calipers, height gages), and ensure all measurement equipment is accurate, available, and audit-ready. The position provides backup support to the Quality Lab when needed, assists with 3rd-party calibration services, and helps during auditor visits. The technician will also keep documentation clean, organized, and ready for scrutiny. This role is crucial as an early warning system, identifying issues before dimensions go out of tolerance, tools fail, or customers notice.
