About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a 3D Laser Scan Technician to join their Industry Services team in Houston, TX. This role involves performing inspection tasks within a Dimensional Control and Laser Scanning Team, including traveling to client sites. Requirements

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record is required.
Must be able to work in outside environments onshore/offshore.
Must be able to work at heights up to 200'.
Competence in operating a Laser Scanner.
Must be comfortable with written and oral communication skills and well organized.
Must be prepared to travel.
Flexibility with work schedules and hours.
Ability to lift 40lbs.

Nice To Haves

Refinery or Chemical Plant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform multiple inspection tasks within a Dimensional Control and Laser Scanning Team.
Travel to client sites to perform inspections.
Operate effectively within a survey team with minimum supervision.
Carry out a minimum of 75% of all aspects of Dimensional Control and Laser Scanning.
Prepare scans for site registration.
Train and assess trainee personnel.
Perform and check scan data.
Direct/perform small and large scan projects.
Liaise with client representatives.
Drafts / checks simple project final reports.
