About The Position

QTS is seeking a 3D Designer to provide in-house modeling support in partnership with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Design. The role contributes to external marketing by visualizing QTS campuses and facilities, creating 3D models, textures, and environments for architectural buildings and customer solutions, and integrating renders into photography through perspective matching and photo compositing. The position supports creative storytelling and visualization for QTS projects.

Requirements

BFA in industrial design, architectural design, exhibit design, interior design, or equivalent.
1–3 years of industry experience.
Understanding of technologies, materials, and techniques.
Experience in the architecture, design, or construction industries.
Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Proficiency in one or more of the following: Enscape, Lumion, Twin Motion, 3DSMax, Blender, or V-Ray.
Rendering and visualization skills.
Understanding of photography and image manipulation techniques.
Knowledge of visualization and rendering software and the ability to make recommendations.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of visualization and rendering goals for internal and external initiatives, and create a strategy for producing impactful assets.
Develop architectural renderings for projects at various design stages.
Ensure presentations meet their objectives and clearly communicate design solutions through 3D, visualization, and rendered output.
Generate ideas rapidly using digital or analog sketches, research, reference images, and design models.
Collaborate with graphic designers to integrate work with graphic applications.
Work with writers, video producers, and other creative team members to deliver holistic creative solutions.
Manage time and balance multiple projects.
Present ideas clearly and confidently to build partnerships with internal and external clients.
Own projects from start to finish, including presentations, customer collaboration, visualization design, and production.
Work with leadership throughout production and communicate creative concepts that can be produced on time.
Manage handoff of assets to other media channels as appropriate.
Present work and check in with the Creative Director throughout each project.
Encourage the team with energy and optimism and help advance the program and its goals.
Work collaboratively in a large, complex environment while maintaining an independent perspective.
Work directly with leadership to understand audiences, communication needs, mediums, and mission.
