About The Position

As a 3D Artist, your role will be both highly creative and technical. You'll be working closely with 3D Visualizers, Industrial Designers, and Program Managers to develop high fidelity 3D models and photorealistic 3D renderings to use across our brand marketing channels. You have comprehensive experience and knowledge using leading 3D modeling, rendering, and image editing programs. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and collaborative, able to work within tight deadlines, is creative, a great communicator, and a great technical problem solver. We’re open to full-time or contract opportunities. Our lean and fast-growing team is composed of highly motivated creatives with a rigorous attention to detail. We hire for integrity, initiative, open mindedness, and willingness to learn. Thuma’s Headquarters is based in the historic Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco. The role involves three days in the office each week and occasional additional days as needed. Requirements

  • Portfolio featuring world-class 3D modeling and rendering works
  • 2+ years experience as a 3D Visualizer / CGI Artist
  • Advanced 3D modeling skills in programs such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Rhino or Alias
  • Advanced rendering skills in programs such as Houdini, V-Ray, Octane, Redshift, Corona, Marvelous
  • Ability to design and execute captivating motion graphic projects
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Color editing and correction skills
  • Experience working on an Apple or PC computer and with a render farm
  • Ability to work to a brief and under the direction of Designers, meeting deadlines and keeping within the scope of projects
  • Experience running and leading end to end 3D and 2D production workflows and strong accuracy in assessing project turnaround time

Responsibilities

  • Produce high fidelity complex 3D models including soft goods
  • Create photorealistic renders and animations for product detail pages as well as more immersive lifestyle imagery in line with the brand identity
  • Streamline post production workflows
  • Support product imagery storyboards and image lists
  • Support collaborations with vendors as needed
