About The Position

First Student is now hiring a 310T Licensed Mechanic to join our shop in COMOX, BC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you’ll help ensure the safety and reliability of our iconic yellow school buses—making a real difference in your community every day.

Requirements

• Hold a valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician license
• Have experience with diesel and automotive, electric.
• Own a complete set of mechanic’s tools
• Are safety-focused and eager to grow your skills through ASE testing

Nice To Haves

• $0.25/hour ASE bonus for each relevant certification (we cover training materials and exam fees)

Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Completing work orders and documentation
• Assisting with mobile emergency repairs as needed
