About The Position

Hog Slat, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift Lead with excellent reasoning and mathematical skills to join the team at our Clinton, NC Manufacturing location. This role involves directing workflow, ensuring production standards are met, logging production transactions, assembling parts according to specifications, and adhering to safety procedures. The Lead will also train new associates, manage shift coverage, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds on a daily basis
• Staple work history required
• Data entry and general computer skills
• Strong conflict resolution, time management, and hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Fluent in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Direct workflow to ensure production standards are being met for department
• Log all production and system transactions in AX
• Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners.
• Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
• Operates drill presses, pneumatic and hard tools or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations
• Adhere to all safety procedures
• Train new associates, manage shift coverage, and foster a collaborative, solutions-driven work environment.
