About The Position

Hog Slat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment, and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries, is seeking a 2nd shift Lead with excellent reasoning and mathematical skills to join the team at our Clinton, NC Manufacturing location.

Requirements

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds on a daily basis
• Staple work history required
• Data entry and general computer skills
• Strong conflict resolution, time management, and hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Fluent in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Direct workflow to ensure production standards are being met for department
• Log all production and system transactions in AX
• Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners.
• Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
• Operates drill presses, pneumatic and hard tools or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations
• Adhere to all safety procedures
• Train new associates, manage shift coverage, and foster a collaborative, solutions-driven work environment.
