About The Position

Brand New School is seeking a Motion Designer for a full-time hybrid role at its New York studio. The position involves creating designs, styleframes, and motion concepts for varied content, while helping develop forward-thinking ideas and contributing to the studio’s creative culture. The role calls for collaboration with creative directors, art directors, producers, and peers, responsiveness to feedback, and an understanding of the creative and client demands involved in producing exceptional work. The studio has approximately 60 employees across the United States and describes itself as a creative company spanning strategy, ideation, design, creation, and production.

Requirements

Fluency working in C4D or Maya and rendering in Octane, Redshift, or Arnold.
Deep familiarity with workflow, saving, and rendering best practices.
Efficient, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under tight deadlines.
A portfolio or reel demonstrating the ability to design high-level work for a variety of content types.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with creative directors, art directors, producers, and peers.
Ability to take creative direction, respond to feedback in a timely manner, and respect project deadlines.
Awareness of the creative challenges associated with producing exceptional work while satisfying client demands.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
