About The Position

The 2027 Summer Intern - Marketing Communications will collaborate across the Marketing department, primarily supporting the communications and content marketing teams. The internship provides experience in research, content development, campaign execution, and writing across digital marketing channels. The role also supports website work, marketing materials, and other communications projects.

Requirements

• Must be a student in good standing currently enrolled in college.
• Strong desire to learn and professional drive.
• Solid understanding of marketing, communications, and digital media.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong ability to multitask and handle several projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to take on new projects and support the team where needed.

• Interest in email marketing, content development, digital communications, or related marketing disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and execution of marketing communications across email, web, social media, and other digital channels.
• Support email marketing initiatives, including content development, proofreading, coordination, and campaign execution.
• Assist with article creation, including outlining, interviewing, gathering feedback, using AI tools, and writing pieces for the Hartford Funds website.
• Assist with digital marketing and promotional activities, including social media, email, web, and podcasts.
• Coordinate marketing materials and communications across internal teams.
• Support the website team, including designing and testing web pages and maintaining the content management system (CMS).
• Proofread and edit marketing materials for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.
• Assist with research and other communications projects as needed.
