About The Position

Sanofi is seeking a highly motivated Spring Co-op to join its Virology NA - Global Antigen Design team in Waltham, Massachusetts, for six months. The Virology Group contributes to the development of vaccine candidates, from early prototype optimization through IND-enabling activities. The co-op will support development of next-generation vaccines for respiratory pathogens, which may include seasonal and pandemic influenza, RSV, hMPV, and/or COVID, with a primary focus on vaccine candidate characterization. The co-op will work with experienced team members and learn and apply virological, immunological, and molecular techniques, including cell culture, virus propagation, infectious titer assays, virus neutralization assays, RT-PCR, viral genome sequencing, assay development, and immunostaining. Laboratory research tasks are performed under supervision. The role also includes reading scientific literature, maintaining experiment notebooks in accordance with QA requirements, supporting lab and equipment maintenance, restocking supplies, attending group meetings, and presenting data. The position requires enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the co-op, permanent U.S. work authorization without the need for employment visa sponsorship, and the ability to relocate to the office and work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for the full six-month duration.
