About the position
FT Partners is seeking Full-Time Research Analysts with a focus on Private Capital Markets. The Research Analysts will play a key role in strengthening the firm's relationships with investors and executing on capital raise and M&A processes. They will collect and utilize market data to improve investor targeting efforts, assist in new investor discovery, and create marketing materials. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers and other teams in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen relationships with the investor universe
- Execute on capital raise and M&A processes
- Develop and maintain tools critical to strengthen the network and improve deal execution
- Collect and utilize market data to improve investor targeting efforts
- Assist in new investor discovery to expand the network
- Assist in the creation of marketing and other materials to improve connectivity with investors
- Focus on building internal infrastructure and robust datasets
- Work side by side with senior bankers and other groups within the firm
- Prepare high impact materials
- Participate effectively in internal and external meetings
- Work directly with client executives
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit
- Keep commitments and inspire the trust of others
- Perform under pressure and effectively prioritize and plan
- Collaborate across teams and levels
- Understand coaching for long-term development of self and others
Requirements
- Recent graduate or currently enrolled in a top tier undergraduate program, graduating in Spring 2023
- Undergraduate degree with a 3.5 GPA or greater
- Strong work ethic and a drive for excellence
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and takes initiative
- High-level of integrity and ethical standards through action and behavior
- Ability to competently navigate investment firms and speak with investment professionals
- Investment banking or related interest (venture capital, private equity and/or capital markets is a plus)
- Maturity and poise to work with senior bankers and investors
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously delivering top-quality work
- Proven success working under pressure amid tight deadlines
- Extraordinary attention to detail
- Permanent U.S. work authorization
- Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to prepare high impact materials
- Participates effectively in both internal and external meetings
- Maturity and poise to work directly with client executives
