About the position
Financial Technology Partners (FT Partners) is seeking Full-Time Analysts with a focus on Financial Sponsor Coverage to begin in July 2023. FT Partners is a successful boutique investment bank with offices in San Francisco, NYC, and London, advising on high-growth Financial Technology sector transactions. The Analysts in Sponsor Coverage will support high priority investment banking business development activities, execute M&A transactions involving financial buyers, and work alongside senior bankers to provide clients with M&A and financing advice. This role is designed to equip the next generation of FinTech Research Professionals with the tools and skills needed to become leaders in the space.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial modeling, company valuation, and financial performance analysis
- Prepare reports, tables, and charts that present research results
- Work alongside senior bankers to provide clients with M&A and financing advice
- Develop high-impact, market facing deliverables including sell-side pitches, views on market trends, and analyses of investment / acquisition activity across FinTech
- Assist senior bankers in developing and implementing business development strategies and facilitating dialogue with Executive and Board level contacts
- Leverage FT Partners’ proprietary database and alternative data sources to identify emerging trends in FinTech
Requirements
- Recent graduate or currently enrolled in a top tier undergraduate program, graduating by Summer 2023
- Undergraduate degree with a 3.5 GPA or greater
- Investment banking or related interest, and general interest in private equity
- Strong work ethic and a drive for excellence
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering top-quality work
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and takes initiative
- Strong data management and research skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical ability with strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform under pressure amid tight deadlines
- Team player with an ability to build trust and collaborate across teams and levels
- High level of commitment to the firm’s goals and success
- Ability to competently navigate investment firms and speak with investment professionals
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of high impact materials
- Participate effectively in both internal and external meetings
- High-level of integrity and ethical standards through action and behavior
- Familiarity with CRM processes and systems is a plus
- Permanent U.S. work authorization is required
