About the position
Major League Baseball is sponsoring a select group of candidates to attend the 11th Annual SABR Analytics Conference virtually in March 2022. The conference features guest speakers, panels, and presentations on the impact of analytics on baseball, as well as skill development sessions and networking opportunities with MLB and Club employees. The ideal candidates are undergraduate and graduate students, recent graduates, or former professional players interested in careers in baseball operations such as Salary Arbitration and Economics, Research & Development, Scouting, and Player Development. To apply, candidates must submit a current resume and a personal essay by February 28, 2022.
Responsibilities
- Attend the 11th Annual SABR Analytics Conference virtually from March 17-20, 2022
- Participate in guest speaker sessions, panels, and presentations on the impact of analytics on the game of baseball
- Participate in the Diamond Dollars Case Competition
- Attend skill development sessions
- Network with current MLB and Club employees
- Represent Major League Baseball as a sponsored candidate
- Qualify as a candidate from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds interested in careers in baseball.
Requirements
- Seeking qualified candidates from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds interested in careers in baseball operations such as Salary Arbitration and Economics, Research & Development, Scouting, and Player Development.
- Undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates are eligible to participate.
