2023 SABR Analytics Conference Application

Major League Baseball is sponsoring a select group of candidates to attend the 12th Annual SABR Analytics Conference. The conference, held in March 2023, focuses on the impact of analytics on the game of baseball and includes guest speakers, panels, and presentations. The event offers skill development sessions, networking opportunities with MLB professionals, and a chance to participate in the Diamond Dollars Case Competition. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual attendance, and candidates interested in attending in-person will be responsible for their own travel expenses. Additionally, selected candidates will receive a complimentary Rapsodo Certification course.

• Attend the 12th Annual SABR Analytics Conference
• Cover own travel expenses to Phoenix for the conference (flight, hotel, meals, etc.)
• Participate in skill development sessions and networking opportunities with MLB and Club employees
• Visit MLB organizations during Spring Training in Phoenix for career insights and networking
• Receive a complimentary Rapsodo Certification course ($395 value)
• Qualify as a candidate from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds interested in careers in baseball operations such as Salary Arbitration and Major League Operations
