About The Position
Seeking an experienced 1st Class Shipfitter for a marine repair yard. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, fitting and fabricating structural steel, performing vessel repairs, and working safely in a fast-paced shipyard environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of shipfitting experience
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Experience with steel fitting, layout, and structural repairs
- Knowledge of shipyard tools and safety practices
- Reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of marine repair experience
- Experience with barges, tugs, or offshore vessels
- NCCER or trade certification
- Rigging, forklift, or lift certifications
