About The Position

Jackson Energy Cooperative Corp. is seeking a 1st Class Line Technician for its London District Office. The technician performs electrical line distribution construction and maintenance, including overhead and underground work, and responds to after-hours service issues, outages, line faults, and equipment problems. The role has a normal 40-hour work week, with irregular hours and overtime required during outages and emergencies, as well as participation in the On-Call Program. Applicants must be able to report to the District Office within 30 minutes from home. The application deadline is November 8, 2026. Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 4 years of on-the-job experience in electrical line distribution, construction, and maintenance, including overhead and underground work.
• Successful completion of a Lineman Apprenticeship Program or certification from another qualified program.
• Experience handling after-hours service and outage problems and troubleshooting line faults and equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of safety rules and procedures.
• Experience determining line feeds and installing and removing or replacing transformers, OCRs, fuses, voltage regulators, capacitors, and related equipment.
• Valid Kentucky CDL.
• Must be able to report to the District Office within 30 minutes from home.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical line distribution construction and maintenance involving overhead and underground lines.
• Respond to after-hours service and outage problems and troubleshoot line faults and equipment.
• Determine line feeds and install, remove, or replace transformers, OCRs, fuses, voltage regulators, capacitors, and related equipment.
• Work irregular hours and overtime during outages and emergency situations.
• Participate in the On-Call Program.
