About The Position

Epstein Becker Green is accepting applications for its Washington, DC 1L Diversity Pipeline Program. The program is for first-year law students, or second-year students in a four-year law program, who are interested in the Firm’s Health Care and Life Sciences practice and may return for their 2L summer as part of the Firm’s 2027 or 2028 Summer Associate Programs. Students accepting a joint 1L/2L summer offer receive a $10,000 bonus after successfully completing their 1L summer with the Firm. Because the number of joint positions is limited, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply separately for the 2028 2L Summer Associate Program. Established in 2014, the program seeks students who have demonstrated a commitment to diversity and inclusion, have life experiences showing their ability to overcome or help others overcome challenges to pursuing a legal career, or have potential to positively affect the legal community’s ability to address these issues. Participants contribute to the Health Care and Life Sciences practice and gain professional and practical experience with Firm lawyers and clients through assignments developed for the program. The related 2L Summer Associate Program is designed to provide a broad view of practice at the Firm and substantive training in its core practices: Employment, Labor & Workforce Management, Health Care & Life Sciences, and Litigation and Business Disputes. Summer associates receive projects typically performed by junior associates, including client work and opportunities to join client calls and meetings, participate in pro bono projects, and support client development through articles, client alerts, and presentations. The weekly pay rate for summer associates is $3,846. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus, in addition to base salary and employee benefits.
