This role involves 1:1 Nursing in a patient's home for a 21-year-old with a Tracheostomy, Ventilator, and Gastrostomy. The patient is non-verbal, non-ambulatory, and quadriplegic. A family member is available to assist with transfers & repositioning. Part-time or per diem scheduling is available, with full-time cases nearby. Patient-specific training is provided. Other cases/shifts are available in surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator required.
- NYS Nursing licensure required.
- Must be computer literate.
- Completion of onboarding required prior to training.
- Must be able to complete nursing notes within 24 hours of the shift being completed.
- Must have malpractice insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing care in a patient's home.
- Administer care to a 21-year-old patient with a Tracheostomy, Ventilator, and Gastrostomy.
- Assist with transfers and repositioning as needed.
- Complete nursing notes within 24 hours of the shift.
- Participate in patient-specific training.
- Attend paid clinical orientation, preceptorship, and ongoing skills labs.
