• Proficiency in specimen collection and processing, including proper tube selection, specimen volume, and stability requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to patient privacy, dignity, and respect.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, including the ability to manage complex patient collections.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and processing blood specimens for laboratory testing
• Ensuring accurate patient identification
• Proper specimen labeling, handling, and transport
• Maintaining compliance with safety and HIPAA regulations
• Communicating effectively with patients and care teams
• Troubleshooting routine issues
• Assisting with training new staff and students as assigned
