About The Position
Confidential acute -care hospital seeks a Patient Care Technician to support bedside care alongside the nursing team and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients and families.
Requirements
- Experience in hospital or urgent care setting preferred (PCT/CNA/MA background a plus)
- Mediclear certification (or equivalent HIPAA cert) required
- Strong customer service skills, reliability, and ability to thrive in a fast -paced clinical environment
- EMR familiarity and attention to detail for accurate documentation
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth procedures and recovery
- Provide basic, non -medicated care (e.g., dressing changes, skin protection, supportive devices) per competency and policy
- Maintain clean, organized, and well -stocked patient areas and common spaces; support infection -control practices
- Manage supplies/equipment checks and environmental logs to keep the team ready
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team; escalate safety/quality concerns promptly
