About The Position

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization; U.S. citizenship is required for credentials and authorization at this work location.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright throughout the scheduled shift, excluding meals and breaks.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicants’ hands to obtain quality fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successfully complete biometrics training and become certified within 60 days.
• Availability Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. for on-call coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometric registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Provide courteous and respectful customer service to applicants and visitors.
• Safeguard applicant paperwork, identification, electronic biometric data, reports, and other areas where personally identifiable information is vulnerable.
• Capture electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures while meeting established processing times and quality standards.
• Screen applicants for valid appointment notices and identification before allowing entry.
• Use crowd-control barriers to maintain safe, organized entry into the facility.
• Visually inspect applicants and their belongings before facility entry; during health crises, ask health-status questions and deny entry when required by customer requirements.
• Conduct periodic interior and exterior facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist the Site Supervisor or government Immigration Service Officer in contacting local law enforcement or first responders when necessary.
• Accurately complete administrative paperwork, including applicant processing-time tracking, biometric reconciliation, visitor control logs, facility-check sign-offs, and other duties as needed.
• Assist staff in enforcing ASC rules and policies and maintaining crowd control inside and outside the facility.
