About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated coaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of defensive line principles, techniques, and coaching methods.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate complex tasks and procedures.
• Strong organizational, supervisory, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with campus and external constituencies.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including social media platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree.
• Experience recruiting student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and training of football student-athletes at Fort Valley State University.
• Assist with evaluating, recruiting, and retaining football student-athletes.
• Support annual recruitment and retention goals established by the Department of Athletics.
• Coordinate campus visits for prospective student-athletes and their families.
• Assist the Head Football Coach with recruitment reports.
• Assist with planning, organizing, and supervising daily practices and competitions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
