Zumba Instructor - Alki Bathhouse
About The Position
Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Zumba Instructor to lead fitness programming at Alki Bathhouse in Seattle. ARC offers access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. This is a year-round, part-time position for an instructor passionate about movement, community wellness, and creating an inclusive, supportive class environment. The position is scheduled Mondays through Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The start date is January 4, 2027. Starting pay is $27.00–$29.00 per hour; the full pay range is $27.00–$37.00 per hour, with the opportunity to reach the higher rate with additional years of service. ARC provides Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST).
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience teaching group fitness, dance, or Zumba-style classes.
- Zumba certification or willingness to obtain it.
Responsibilities
- Lead Zumba dance-fitness classes for people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Develop class sequences that promote cardiovascular health, balance, mobility, and fun.
- Promote participant safety by monitoring movement, offering modifications, and remaining aware of individual needs.
- Manage class setup and cleanup.
- Maintain attendance records and complete required administrative documentation.
- Perform other duties as required.
