About The Position

In cooperation with fellow Zip Ride Manager, is responsible for leading a large energetic group of seasonal tour guides and oversees the operation and management of the zip rides at The Summit.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 21+
  • C.O.P.E. Director National Camp School Card (training provided)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily
  • Ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
  • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Documented Zip Line work experience
  • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
  • High emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)
  • Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skills
  • Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds

Responsibilities

  • Train and manage staff so that they have the knowledge to carry out a safe and fun program
  • Responsible for all paperwork, logs, and inventory control for the program
  • Monitor equipment and facility conditions and report and deficiencies to Aerial Director
  • Participate in periodic performance evaluations of staff and in disciplinary actions
  • Effectively maintain a training and practitioner experience portfolio
  • Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
  • Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
  • Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
