About The Position

Associated Students Inc., CSUF provides student development opportunities through leadership, volunteer, and employment experiences. In addition, the Associated Students provides campus community members with important social, cultural, and recreational opportunities, as well as, a wide range of programs and services. This position provides general front desk duties, including verifying appointments, handling walk-in inquiries, assisting customers, and providing instructions on equipment use. The role also promotes wellness and campus wellness resources through outreach, helping students make informed, healthy choices, and providing outstanding customer service to all students.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled California State University, Fullerton student in good academic standing
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings if needed
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and professionally represent the department during daily operations, outreach activities, tabling, and events.
  • Provide front desk support by welcoming customers, checking customers in for appointments or services, answering questions, and assisting with walk-in inquiries.
  • Support the daily operations of the wellness space by ensuring overall functionality and readiness, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming environment through setting up and resetting equipment and furniture.
  • Perform administrative support duties related to departmental services and programming initiatives.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to support efficient operations and maintain high-quality service delivery.
  • Staff the mobile wellness cart at different campus locations multiple days per week to engage students, share wellness information, distribute promotional items, and promote programs, resources, and events.
  • Organize and host wellness tabling activities and events that promote wellness and campus wellness resources, including booking space, helping advertise events, and assisting with event activities.
  • Share general information about wellness resources and refer students to appropriate campus services when needed, including Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), TitanHealth, CSUF Basic Needs, etc.
  • Provide assistance and basic instruction to customers on the safe and proper use of wellness equipment, including orientations for first-time users.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment, damaged furnishings, missing supplies/equipment, and safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Utilize reservation software to assist guests with booking and managing reservations, collect and maintain guest waivers, and gather assessment data. Accommodate walk-in inquiries as the program allows.
  • Collect data, monitor participation, and equipment usage, and report data to the supervisor.
  • Monitor and restock wellness supplies, promotional materials, and cleaning items as needed for the Zen Den and mobile wellness cart.
  • Submit marketing request forms for flyers, social media, digital signage, and other promotional materials related to wellness programs, services, and events.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new employees in departmental procedures, equipment use, cleaning protocols, customer service standards, and outreach expectations.
  • Follow safety expectations, training guidelines, and supervisor direction during daily operations and student engagement activities.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner, providing general information and directing inquiries as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
