About The Position
The Zamboni Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the ice-resurfacer and ice-edger. This role involves driving the Zamboni during hockey games to maintain ice quality according to AHL and/or NCAA standards. The position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to maintain effective working relationships with various individuals. The operator will be exposed to cold, wet, and icy conditions and must be able to lift or push up to 150 pounds. Legends Global is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Use and properly care for ice equipment, including ice-resurfacer and ice-edger with multiple manual controls, gears and foot pedals.
- Good vision, hearing and dexterity.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills necessary.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous facility operations experience a plus.
- Ability to ice skate is a plus.
