Job Overview: YouthBuild Program Director Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Support all aspects of day-to-day programming such as: recruitment, intake, case management, HSE Instruction, on-site job training, and graduate services. Provide leadership and oversight integrating job readiness preparation into all aspects of the program Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise the YouthBuild staff Organize, plan, and participate in program orientation and initial “Mental Toughness” training Responsible for staff development, planning, development, implementation, and assessment of the program Effectively manage and work closely with direct reports in order to ensure quality service delivery in addition to positive program outcomes Ensure that all elements of the program work together as a holistic model Plan regular partner meetings to review program deliverables and programmatic concerns Provide ongoing evaluation and analysis of current service offerings and their impact on overall performance goals Collect required data accordingly and submit reports to the city/state/federal agencies and private foundation partners by ensuring documentation and data input requirements are met which substantiate grant performance measures Work closely with the Executive Director to analyze data on a monthly basis Develop a broad understanding of workforce development practices and innovations, labor market information, sectoral employment approach, and local, state, and federal regulatory changes Work collaboratively with the Executive DIrector to perform outreach at local businesses and organizations Cultivate high-level employer engagement Participate and represent CPSEMO within networks Attend and represent CPSEMO at Federal, State, and local YouthBuild conferences Represent the CPSEMO YouthBuild Program at all meetings, events, and other required functions Report to the Director of Workforce Initiatives Other duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications: 3 Years experience in the field of youth employment and/or with the disconnected youth population. 5 Years experience in the Construction Industry and/or related fields. Computer literacy and competency in Microsoft Word. Multi-tasker and exceptional communication skills are a must Possess strong supervisory, collaboration, and organizational skills. Excellent writing and communication skills required. Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional disposition Essential Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED Adaptability – adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events Dependability – consistently at work and on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance Physical Demands and Work Environment: Occasional weekend and evening work to support the organization’s fundraising events and activities.
