About The Position

Hillcrest Youth Services is seeking a Full-Time Youth Worker Supervisor (3rd Shift) to join our residential programs team. This leadership role involves supervising and coordinating direct care staff and services, as well as overseeing residential operations and daily program activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology (or related field) preferred; but degree can be waived in lieu of experience.
  • Minimum of one year experience working in a residential setting.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and Cornell CPI.
  • Must be 21 years old and must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the overall operation of daily resident activities.
  • Work with Director to assist with the coordination of necessary staff coverage and appropriate staff training. This includes provision of shift coverage as possible and appropriate.
  • Evaluate and monitor staff activity.
  • Assure staff adherence to policies and procedures including chart maintenance, health and safety requirements, and handling patient medications.
  • Assist with the process of screening, interviewing, and recommending applicants for hire.
  • Maintains order, security and safety of the units at all times.
  • Provides fair and constructive discipline to the residents per policies.
  • Oversees and directs the residents regarding appropriate speech, dress and behavior.
  • Participates in general staff meetings as well as any training that is required.
  • Participate and provide appropriate input on assigned committees.
  • Provides information for the development of treatment plans, progress reports, etc. as assigned.
  • Administers medications according to policies.
  • Has knowledge of the rules governing childcare institutions and the written policies of the facility.
  • Commit to annual professional and skills development opportunities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess and respond to crisis situations.
  • Works actively to promote teamwork between shifts.
