Youth Volunteer - Summer Sport Camp 2026
About The Position
The Summer Sport Camp Volunteer will work under the supervision of our Sport Camp Instructors and Lead. The Summer Sport Camp Volunteers role is to enhance our Summer Sport Camp experience for our campers. When: Camps run weekly 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM from June 29, 2026, to August 28, 2026. Must be available for training at the end of June. Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator & Camp Leads What’s In It For You: Have fun and stay active while earning valuable leadership experience with a world-class organization Hands on experience and job skills Develop new friendships Volunteers will be given first consideration for future Camp Instructor postings (natural progression)
Requirements
- Availability and commitment for a minimum of one full week of camp
- Volunteers should be comfortable interacting with campers and parents
- Must be energetic and enthusiastic about working with children, and at the same time demonstrate maturity and professionalism
Responsibilities
- Delivering fun, active and creative programs to children and youth
- Assist in keeping campers focused during each activity
- Providing a positive, safe and welcoming environment
- Implementing arts/crafts, games and physical activities
- Interacting with the children and youth while being a positive role model
- Be an active participant in the pools during swim time while ensuring safety
- Most of all having fun with the children and youth
