About The Position
Individuals are needed to instruct girls in grades 3-6. Coaches are needed Mon, Tues and Thurs from 5:00PM to 7:00PM October-November. The Youth Volleyball Coach provides instruction, leadership, and encouragement to youth athletes in a safe and positive environment. Coaches teach volleyball fundamentals, foster teamwork and sportsmanship, and help participants develop confidence, skills, and a lifelong enjoyment of the game.
Requirements
- Individual must be at least 16 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct organized, age-appropriate practices and activities.
- Teach fundamental volleyball skills, including serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking, and court positioning.
- Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere where all participants are encouraged to learn and improve.
- Promote sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and responsible behavior.
- Supervise participants during practices, games, and team activities.
- Follow league rules, organizational policies, and safety guidelines.
- Manage games, player rotations, and participation opportunities in accordance with program standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents, participants, and program staff regarding schedules, expectations, and team information.
- Report injuries, incidents, and concerns to the Youth Volleyball Coordinator.
- Assist with equipment setup, care, and storage.
- Serve as a positive role model for youth participants.
