About The Position

This is a seasonal, part-time, and non-benefitted position. The instructor will be available to work Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. The salary ranges from $11.40 to $14.50 per hour, depending on experience. To qualify, individuals must be able to work two or more sessions. The sessions run from June 1st to August 1st, with specific dates for each session.

Requirements

• Must be 14 years of age.
• 1-3 years sport experience or instruction, and able to demonstrate intermediate skill level or higher.
• Approved criminal background investigation check if over 18 years of age.
• Must be proficient in either tennis or pickleball or both!

Responsibilities

• Ability to demonstrate correct stroke techniques, scoring, court rules, and court etiquette.
• Is on time and prepared for lessons.
• Prepares records and lesson progress reports.
• Follows all safety protocols outlined by the recreation center.
• Assists and supports students and parents in a positive and professional manner.
• Participate in seminars and classes to improve teaching skills and techniques.
• Attend meetings as required.
