About The Position

Crossroads Programs, Inc. an Apis Affiliate is seeking a professional interested in joining our team as a Youth Support Worker in Willingboro, NJ. The ideal candidate is professionally passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities. Hope Homes – Timber House provides a therapeutic environment that focuses on providing individualized care and support to our residents, between 14 – 21 years old. Requirements

Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years working directly with youth in an out-of-home treatment setting
Must be 21 years of age or older
Possess a valid driver's license
Physical & Drug Screening, Criminal Record History, FBI, and Child Abuse History Clearances

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, or Counseling
Some program elements may require 3–5 years of experience
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Knowledge and understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by these individuals.
Will be able to assist with daily living activities and implement behavior management strategies.
Can remain calm and composed in challenging situations, demonstrate patience and understanding.

Responsibilities

Oversees shift operations, assigns duties, and motivates staff to maintain a structured and nurturing environment.
Works directly with youth facing behavioral health challenges, providing trauma-informed and strength-based support.
Designs and leads life skills and educational activities tailored to each youth’s needs and strengths.
Evaluates youth in daily functioning to customize services.
Provides transport, reinforces social skills, and serves as a mentor and on-call support when needed.
