Each summer, the School of Music welcomes hundreds of student musicians to Ohio State’s campus where they participate in programs specifically designed to further their skills, understanding of – and love for – music. Our dedicated faculty craft diverse and rich activities that provide each student with a meaningful musical experience. The Youth Summer Music Program Educator assists camp directors with music rehearsals, group work, and sectional coaching. Musicians will accompany all campers, staff, and camp directors in rehearsals and during camp performances; collaborate with the Youth Summer Music Program directors and the School of Music’s administrative team to oversee compliance with school policies and procedures that align with the school’s mission and vision; act as liaisons between directors and campers to ensure that their needs and concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner; and will contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the growth and development of students.
