About The Position

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is committed to empowering the next generation through meaningful leadership opportunities. The ATL Summer Youth Employment Program (ATL SYEP26) provides high school students with hands-on exposure to airport operations, workforce development, and career readiness. To ensure a structured, engaging, and productive experience, ATL Workforce is hiring eight (8) Team Captains to supervise, mentor, and support program participants. Team Captains play a critical leadership role, ensuring that youth employees adhere to workplace expectations, develop professionally, and receive the necessary guidance to thrive. This position serves as the primary connection between students, business unit supervisors, and program administrators, helping maintain an impactful learning environment.

Requirements

  • High school students (as participants, implying captains may need to be older or have relevant experience)
  • Ability to supervise and mentor

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect students, supervisors, and administrators
