About The Position

The Youth Stabilization Specialist works with youth ages 0–17 at Seneca Family of Agencies’ Welcoming Center, helping ensure their safety, stability, and growth. The Welcoming Center is a home-like receiving facility in Santa Clara County that provides immediate care and therapeutic support to children and youth experiencing placement disruption, including those recently removed from their homes, returning after an elopement, or facing a sudden loss of placement. The multidisciplinary team assesses each young person’s needs and works to secure an appropriate placement. The specialist supervises youth and supports a consistent, structured routine in a home environment. The position also participates in a scheduled rotating emergency on-call system. Work may include physical management of clients when applicable and may require training in additional crisis intervention modalities such as CPI. Seneca Family of Agencies provides mental health, community-based, and educational services, with a stated commitment to serving traditionally marginalized communities and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
