About The Position

We are looking for passionate, reliable Youth Sports Coach Volunteers and Youth Program Volunteers to join our team and help make a difference in the community. This role offers flexible scheduling around program constraints and provides an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on nonprofit experience, build community support skills, work with a dedicated team, and make a real impact in the lives of others. Volunteers will also have the chance to meet new people, build lasting connections, and be part of a supportive and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Must have completed 6th grade
• Positive attitude and willingness to help
• Knowledge and/or experience of applicable sport/program or desire to aid in the Youth Leagues
• Dependable with strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to pass required clearances (Clearances and training are required for volunteers who assist with any YMCA programs and operations. If you are only interested in River Crossing YMCA one-day special events, such as our Bucks County 5K, or Kids Triathlon, clearances and trainings are not required, please email [email protected] upon completion of application for one-day special events)

Responsibilities

• Lead all scheduled assigned practices and games for your team
• Lead drills and activities with members of the program
• Communicate progress with players and parents
• Report any issues to the league organizer
• Assist the YMCA Coach in executing lesson plans
• Lead scheduled assigned practices, drills, and activities with aid from YMCA coach or staff member
• Aid in setup, breakdown, or other assigned duties surrounding activities
