About The Position
The San Luis Obispo County YMCA is seeking a dedicated Volunteer for their Youth Programs/Sports division. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of children during program activities, adhering to YMCA policies, and maintaining clear communication with staff, members, and parents.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance, if over 18 years old.
Responsibilities
- Attend all necessary trainings and meetings.
- Report to shift on time.
- Find a substitute from the approved list when unable to attend a shift, providing at least 24 hours' notice.
- Supervise the safe arrival and departure of children.
- Clean up the program area before departure.
- Report any incidents to the Program Director.
- Learn and adhere to YMCA rules, policies, and procedures.
- Update staff, members, and parents about program/event/child progress as needed.
