About The Position

The YMCA at Brentwood is seeking a part-time Youth Sports Official to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who love sports, enjoy high-energy environments, and are passionate about helping children grow through play. The Youth Sports Official will be responsible for ensuring smooth soccer game operations, making calls, managing the game clock, and educating young players on rules. This position emphasizes fairness, fun, and fostering sportsmanship, setting a positive tone for a safe and exciting game day experience. Responsibilities also include pre- and post-game equipment checks, setup and cleanup, and communication with coaches. The role requires embodying the Y's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility as a role model for children. Additional duties include attending trainings and completing game reports.

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 16
• CPR Pro / AED / First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
• Attend New Hire Orientation before your first shift
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience officiating youth or recreational sports is a big plus
• A passion for youth development and sportsmanship
• Knowledge of game rules for soccer
