Requirements

• Minimum age of 15.
• Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values.
• Personable, outgoing, and service oriented.
• Ability to resolve issues or conflicts on the field.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• 10-20 hours per week (Must be available weekends).
• Extremely organized, accurate, and proficient.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid (within first 90 days).
• Uphold the mission of the YMCA, and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with youth ages 3-14 preferred, if not will train.
• Athletic background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Officiating youth sports programs in a manner consistent with the parameters established by the YMCA of Greater Louisville.
• Supervising practices throughout the season.
• Maintaining the fields and gyms in a safe, efficient fashion.
• Promoting a good relationship with program participants, members and staff.
• Monitoring all policies, procedures for all programs, volunteers and staff involved.
• Showing a sincere interest and enjoyment in working with and teaching youth the principles of sports as well as Christian values.
