About The Position
The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Youth Sports Instructor to join their team. This role involves positively impacting the community through athletics, helping children reach their potential, achieve age-appropriate goals, and positively influencing lives within the Y community. The position is part-time and hourly, with a starting pay of $17.00.
Requirements
- Minimum 16 years of age.
- Excellent knowledge of instructing in the program area.
- Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention.
Responsibilities
- Conduct YMCA program instruction in accordance with YMCA program standards.
- Incorporate character development objectives into the program to reinforce the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn YMCA programs and provide an enjoyable YMCA experience.
- Evaluate program skills, complete progress reports for each session and complete communications for parents.
- Provide excellent service to members and participants.
- Communicate all YMCA rules and ensure that you are accessible and identifiable.
