Founding Youth Sports Coach (Ages 1-10)
About The Position
Amazing Athletes is seeking an exceptional coach to join its founding team in Colorado Springs. This role involves leading one of the area's premier youth enrichment programs, focusing on introducing children aged 1-10 to sports fundamentals while fostering confidence, coordination, teamwork, listening skills, and a love for activity. The primary focus is on preschool-aged children, with opportunities to expand to other age groups as programs grow in schools, public classes, camps, and after-school enrichment. The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, and passionate about teaching young children through play.
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout Colorado Springs
- Ability to lift and carry sports equipment (approximately 30 lbs.)
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
- Ability to demonstrate movement and participate actively during classes
- Successfully pass a background check
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Experience in Pediatric Therapy
- Experience in Summer Camps or Childcare
- Professional experience working with children ages 1–6
- Knowledge of sports (not required to be an expert in every sport)

- Lead fun, engaging Amazing Athletes classes for young children
- Create a positive and encouraging environment where every child feels successful
- Teach age-appropriate sports skills through games, imagination, and movement
- Build relationships with school staff, parents, and children
- Arrive prepared and ready to lead each class with enthusiasm
- Represent Amazing Athletes with professionalism and positivity
